A sturdy yet divinely soft and squooshy 3 ply sock yarn: 80% superwash merino / 20% nylon.  Each skein is 115 gms, approx. 425 yds - plenty of yardage for a pair of socks.  It has a nice firm twist, knits up buttery smooth to the touch, and wears like iron. 

Chocolate wine is a dark, supersaturated purple/brown. It is one of those chameleon colourways that looks definitively chocolate brown one minute and definitively purple the next - a very rich and earthy effect.
