Coiled Necklace
As a fibre artist, I never tire of finding ways to turn silver
into a textile. In this case, rather than knit with the silver itself, I textured and
oxidized a thick coiled loop of hammered sterling silver to resemble a strand of wool.
Like the Origins necklace, this pendant also accommodates charms or (for knitters) stitch
markers. It hangs from a sturdy sterling silver chain, finished with a handcrafted
sterling silver hook and eye clasp. Length: approx. 17 inches. Pendant measures approx. 1
inch in diameter.
